adidas hat JUST EAT Canada Inks Deal With Mobile Maitre D’ in Winnipeg
TORONTO, June 25, 2014 /CNW/ JUST EAT Canada is excited to announce its newest partnership with The Mobile Maitre D’, Winnipeg’s first, longest running and most trusted food delivery service. Serving the Winnipeg area since 2000, Mobile Maitre D’ specializes in delivering food from over 60 restaurants to customers in the region and will now be a part of the ever growing JUST EAT Canada national delivery network. This news comes hot on the heels of JUST EAT’s exciting announcement earlier this week: a partnership with the largest food delivery service in Calgary, Empire Delivery Services. Both deals further solidify JUST EAT’s 1 position in Western Canada for online takeout and delivery.
Brad and Ryan Walker, the father and son owners of Mobile Maitre D’ (and lifelong Winnipeggers), are thrilled to be working with JUST EAT Canada, who is now their exclusive online partner. A local success story, Brad Walker started Mobile Maitre D’ in 2000 and has since given over daily operations to his son, Ryan, a hard working, young entrepreneur in his own right at the age of 32: “Because of the high level of service we offer to our customers and the relationships we have developed for over a decade across the city of Winnipeg,
many of the restaurants we work with are able to thrive and in turn, Mobile Maitre D’ has also thrived. We’ve been able to re invest our hard earned profit back into the community and create jobs for locals.”
“We’re excited to partner with Mobile Maitre D’ they know the city best and their passion for the city of Winnipeg is infectious and inspiring,” says Todd Masse, the Managing Director of JUST EAT Canada. Mobile Maitre D’ will now have access to Geo Delivery Solutions (GDS), proprietary geo tracking technology that will enable them to streamline their delivery process. This technology is exclusive to the JUST EAT network (currently used by Can U Deliver in Saskatoon and Eat Up Delivery in Quebec City, Montreal and launching in Toronto this summer) in the food delivery industry.
With Mobile Maitre D’ on board, GDS will now process more online food orders than any other similar technology in the Canadian market, using algorithms to deliver piping hot food to hungry consumers. Users will soon be able to track the whereabouts of their orders in real time, similar to other location based technologies and mobile apps like Uber and Hailo.
“From east to west, we want to offer the best service and we do that by linking up with the very best partners in the region,” says Masse. The JUST EAT Group, which was founded in Denmark in 2000, now has its headquarters in London, UK and is active in 13 countries around the globe.
