And that was just how they wanted it.Lacey Turner’s fiance Matt Kay “can’t wait to marry and make babies” with her”We ended up staying together the night before our wedding at the villa. It felt special to wake up on the morning of our wedding day together. I probably wouldn’t have slept well anyway if I didn’t have Matt there,” Lacey, 29, told OK! magazine of the first rule they broke. They tied the knot at an exclusive resort in the north of Ibiza, with many of Lacey’s ‘Enders co stars there to cheer on the happy couple, including Barbara Windsor, Jake Wood, Laurie Brett, Scott Maslen, Aaron Sidwell and James Bye.(Image: BBC)And while it’s usually a huge faux pas for anyone other than the bride to wear white, that was the exact colour Lacey chose for her four bridesmaids younger sisters Lily and Daisy, her stepsister Mimie and new sister in law Amber and two little flower girls.Matt gave suits a wide berth,
opting instead for turned up chinos, braces, a white shirt and trainers. For Lacey’s part, she ditched her shoes, wearing lace wraps to walk down the aisle with both her mum, Beverly Harvey and her dad Les Turner.”I know it’s tradition to walk down the aisle on the arm of your dad, but my mum’s been such a massive part of my life and I wanted everybody to see her walk down the aisle too,” she told the magazine. While the groom usually waits patiently at the alter, Matt, 29, made his own entrance, holding hands with his parents Beverley and Ian Kay as they walked him down the aisle. Even Lacey’s grandmother got a go, with Nanny Chick being accompanied by the actress’ cousin Billy and her stepbrother Sammy. The couple met under a floral arch just past 6pm as the sun was starting to set, and when it came to their vows, both were determined to make have a fun, light hearted ceremony instead of a serious, traditional affair.Unable to bring their dogs because of the distance, they even had a picture of their precious pooches by the alter! They also decided to skip a sit down meal and wedding cake, because “no one ever eats it”, and instead had a constant flow of tapas style dishes, including fillet of beef, ponzu marinated cod and slow roasted Ibicenco leg of lamb. And unlike most weddings,
cheesy pop was replaced with a playlist packed full of old school garage and Lacey who drank just one Jagerbomb all night was up dancing until 5am.
